FOOTBALL CLUBS ACROSS THE UK WELCOME OUR ARMED FORCES
Tickets For Troops is delighted announce that thousands of servicemen and women will be able to watch football games across the UK this season free of charge as clubs continue to pledge their support for the initiative.
53 clubs across all four leagues, Premier League to League 2, have backed the scheme this season making over 25,000 free tickets available to servicemen and women. It is anticipated that as the season progresses more tickets will be donated to the charity as additional clubs look to get behind the men and women who serve our country.
We recently received messages of support from a number of notable figures in within the football community:
Wigan Athletic Chairman, David Whelan, said: "We are delighted to support the Tickets For Troops campaign as a club and feel that whatever we can help in terms of looking after our boys and girls serving the country so well is never too much effort. Keep up the good work!"
Chief Executive Robert Elstone said: "The remarkable work carried out by the Armed Forces deserves to be recognised all year round so we have dedicated an allocation of tickets for a number of home games throughout the season and look forward to welcoming service personnel through the turnstiles at Goodison,"
Bolton Midfielder, Jay Spearing, said, "These amazing men and women do great things for our country on a daily basis and supporting Tickets For Troops is just one of our ways to show our appreciation and thanks to them"
