HUNDREDS OF TROOPS INVITED TO THE FA COMMUNITY SHIELD
Wembley Stadium will welcome hundreds of the Armed Forces to watch last season’s Premier League and FA Cup Champions at The FA Community Shield this Sunday 10th August.
The FA have donated seats to Arsenal and Manchester City fans from military units and garrisons all over the UK. These fans will be heading to Wembley Stadium this weekend to watch their team battle it out for the Community Shield – the first silverware of the season.
Since 2009, Tickets For Troops have been donated over 120,000 tickets from football clubs across the UK, enabling thousands of servicemen and women to enjoy watching their favourite teams and some first class football for free.
Veronica Bamford, Director of Operations at Tickets For Troops said “We are extremely grateful to The FA for their on-going generosity which they have shown our country’s deserving Armed Forces over the years. It is just fantastic that they will be supporting us again for the coming year and The Community Shield marks the start of another exciting year of great football at the home of football.”
