TICKETS FOR TROOPS UNVEILS NEW REGIONAL AMBASSADORS
Tickets For Troops is delighted to welcome onboard its new team of Regional Ambassadors.
The Regional Ambassadors will be responsible for increasing the number of donors in their respective regions which will mean even more free event opportunities for our members.
They will also be ensuring that the local military communities are aware of what Tickets For Troops provides for them. The volunteer opportunity attracted a large number of applications from all around the country. The overall standard was exceptionally high and it was humbling for the team to see how many people from within the forces community wanted to give something back to Tickets For Troops. Thank you to everyone who applied.
The Regional Ambassadors will be managed by a new employee - recently recruited on a part-time basis by the charity - thanks to a grant of £20,000 from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund.
The volunteers will be responsible for increasing the number of donors in their respective regions [Scotland, North West/Manchester, Lincoln/Peterborough, Aldershot, Catterick, Bristol/Gloucester, South Coast, Stafford] which will mean even more free event opportunities for members of the serving community.
At the end of July the new Regional Ambassadors came to London for a one day workshop held in the Royal Albert Hall led by Veronica Bamford, Director of Operations, and Elisabeth Roberts, Donor Liaison and Ambassador Coordinator.
Veronica Bamford said: "The charity has always been run by a small team who look after the relationships of hundreds of generous donors across the UK however now we’d like to do even more to reach out to other potential donors throughout the regions providing even more opportunities to our deserving personnel.”
It was fantastic for everyone to meet each other and the rest of the Tickets For Troops team, Rob, Will and Anastasia, took a well earned lunch break to come and introduce themselves.
Having a team of volunteers marks a new and exciting chapter in the history of Tickets For Troops which was founded in 2009. The charity has 140,000 members and to date has distributed 920,000 free tickets for music, theatre, sporting and other events around the country courtesy of our generous donors as a small token of appreciation for the sacrifices our service personnel make.
Organisations who would like to get involved with the charity and donate free tickets to benefit our servicemen and women can get in contact with Tickets For Troops by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0207 932 0808
