UK’s Armed Forces At Bahrain's Grand Prix

UK’s Armed Forces based in Bahrain pose with their Grand Prix tickets in front of HMS Middleton.

A large group of the UK’s military contingent based at the Royal Navy base in Bahrain will be attending this weekend’s Grand Prix - thanks to the military charity Tickets  For Troops.

The circuit has generously donated 150 tickets to the charity which allows 50 personnel to attend one of the three days at the International Circuit including the big race on Sunday - the fourth race in the 2025 season.

Commanding Officer of the UK Naval Support Facility, Chris Hammond said: “We are delighted that Tickets For Troops and the Bahrain race circuit has continued to support us in this way - it makes a massive difference to those deployed away from friends and family and really lifts morale."

Circuit marketing and communications manager Laurence Jones said: “We are proud to have supported Tickets for Troops for many years, offering the opportunity for UK service personnel based in Bahrain the chance to experience the spectacle of F1.”

British McLaren driver Lando Norris and Max Verstappen enter the weekend one point apart at the top of the standings.
